Lucius Iulius Caesar (17 BCE – 2 CE) was the second son of Agrippa and Julia, and hence grandson of Augustus, who adopted Lucius and his brother Gaius Caesar in 17 BCE. At the age of 15, when he reached adulthood, he was admitted to the senate and given the title of princeps juventutis, which his brother had held before him.
He died in 2 CE in Massalia (Marseilles, France) on his way to Spain, leaving Gaius as the sole heir of Augustus.
