The outside latrine of the Villa Romana del Casale is located between the thermal baths and the atrium.

Access to the latrine was primarily from the atrium, which the needy would leave from the small room that gave passage from the atrium to the thermal baths. There was no direct passage neither from the baths nor from the atrium, probably for obvious reasons of odour.

The water supply to the latrine came from the fountain in the atrium.

The latrine is semi-circular with the seats disposed along the circular side. The original seats have been lost, likewise the pavement and the columns that supported the roof above the seats.
