An iron-age necropolis has been excavated just to the left of the Temple of Antoninus and Faustina, with numerous burial dating from the 10th to the 7th century BCE, i.e., before the area became the Roman Forum.
The finds from the graves and models of the burials can be seen the the Antiquarium of the Forum Romanum.
There is not much to see. Some of the graves are indicated in the lawn on the site. The remains of the tombs are at a substantially deeper level.
