Hilly area SE of Rome famous for its wine and vulcanic lakes
The Castelli Romani (aka. the Colli Albani or Alban Hills) are located c. 40km SE. of Rome and encompasses the following towns:
- Frascati
- Grottaferrata
- Rocca di Papa
- Castel Gandolfo
- Albano
- Nemi
and the ancient site of Tusculum
